Trip Overview
Annapurna I (8,091m) is among the most demanding 8,000-metre climbs in Nepal. This expedition uses the Pokhara approach: drive from Kathmandu, continue toward the trailhead, and establish Base Camp before a carefully managed climbing period.
Because of avalanche terrain and a short safe window, High Vision keeps the team small, builds extra acclimatization, and staffs the mountain with experienced high-altitude Sherpas. Higher camps and a weather-based summit attempt are included in the field plan.
Spring is the usual season. This is not a trekking peak — previous expedition experience, strong ice-climbing skills, and evacuation insurance are mandatory. The team descends to Pokhara and returns to Kathmandu.

Safe and sanitary treks of your dreams
Buddhi Rai led my wife and I (and 9 other U.S trekkers aged 40s to 80) on a trek on the Tibetan Plateau (Mustang) and a elephant-and-rhino safari by foot and canoe in Chitwan National Park in October 2025. We took two other treks led by Buddhi to Tsum Valley (2022) and rhododendron trails near Annapurna (2024).
