Himlung Himal (7,126m) sits north of Annapurna in the Nar-Phu Himal, a restricted area of Buddhist villages and high desert. From Kathmandu you drive toward Koto, trek through Phu, and establish Himlung Base Camp.
The climbing period is typically less technical than Ama Dablam but still a genuine 7,000-metre expedition, with rotations, a summit camp, and Sherpa support. It is a logical step between Island/Mera Peak and the 8,000-metre mountains.
Autumn and spring are the usual seasons. Permits, restricted-area paperwork, and camping logistics are included. The team returns by the same valley to the road and Kathmandu.
